IT 364 – Content Management System
This course explores the use of the three most popular opensource web-based content management systems—WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal—to create dynamic and flexible websites and landing pages. Participants explore the fundamentals of planning dynamic websites, CMS database management, developing CSS-controlled site templates, and creating database-driven websites through the planning and creation of their own topic-based sites.

Course Aims
At the end of the course, students will be able to install, configure, manage a content management system such as WordPress and create a working website installed on a webhost. The students will know and understand how to easily build websites using website builders such as Gutenberg/Divi/Elementor Builder. Joomla and Drupal will be explored as well. Finally, they will also learn basics on customization and plugin creation.

Objective of the development of the course
To be consistent with the TQF – Business Computer curriculum of the Commission of Higher Education and to serve the need of each field of studies that aim to create a well-rounded person through the holistic education.

Class Requirements
- Students must wear the proper student uniform required by the university when attending class. Punctual class attendance and active participation in class discussions is also required.
- Students entering class after the teacher has finished checking attendance is considered late. Three (3) tardies is equal to one absence.
- Students must attend not less than 80% of the total contact periods to maintain eligibility to sir for the Final Examination.
- Reading the assigned materials before class is a must.
- Complete and submit assignments on time. Late work will not be considered.
